Brand Vs Strategic Brand
What is the difference? And which do we need? It’s a question we get asked when meeting with companies, especially newer companies.
Branding refers to the process of creating a name, design, symbol, or any other feature that distinguishes a product, service, or company from its competitors. Branding is essentially the practice of creating an identity for a company or product that is recognizable and memorable.
Strategic branding, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive and deliberate approach to branding. It involves developing a long-term plan for building and maintaining a brand’s identity, reputation, and competitive advantage. Strategic branding takes into account a company’s business objectives, target audience, competitive landscape, and unique value proposition, among other factors.
In other words, while branding is focused on creating a recognizable and memorable identity, strategic branding takes a broader and more strategic approach to building and maintaining that identity over time. It’s about developing a cohesive and consistent brand message that resonates with customers and aligns with the company’s overall business strategy.
